The bucket mouths of UCF may be the Knight’s best kept secret.

I was visiting some friends out at UCF over the holiday weekend so I brought all the essentials; namely my fly rod. I knew we had planned on hitting some ponds but I wasn’t sure if they would be holding fish.

We visited a few ponds around the UCF campus and as my friends had promised me the day before I wasn’t disappointed. There were multiple fish caught each day and there was always some slobs in the mix of general quality fish.

The ticket for these big bass seemed to be white baitfish pattern flies. There were still a good amount of bass caught on dark baitfish flies, poppers and even on spinning gear,

Hopefully on my next trip to Orlando I can get on a bass like this one caught by my buddy Chris Sexton.
